With 29 years in the custom pool industry, Larry Parnell offers expertise in all aspects of residential and commercial pool construction and remodeling. Larry is passionately dedicated to providing the highest level of project management, craftsmanship, and communication for each and every build provided by Canyon Oak Pools. His builds have been featured in the prestigious D Magazine and showcased in the AIA Dallas Tour of Homes. After holding management positions at all levels in several successful pool companies throughout Texas, he and his wife Susan founded Canyon Oak Pools. They have two beautiful daughters, Katherine and Alex, who recently graduated from TCU and SMU and are also a proud part of the Canyon Oak team.

Susan Parnell holds an Accounting degree, and has a true knack for not only numbers, but connecting with people. She works alongside her husband Larry, overseeing all of our pool builds, as well as protecting the financial integrity of the company and individual projects. Susan is instrumental in not only the finished projects at Canyon Oak Pools, but in making each and every homeowner feel seen and heard. She is never more than a quick phone call away.

Expertise in quality materials, relationships with contractors and knowledge of all phases of construction have allowed David to create award winning pool projects. He is highly skilled in custom craftmanship and excels in guiding customers through each phase of the build. Prior to his time in the pool industry, David spent 20 years in the commercial real estate business. The backbone that he built this construction department upon was a desire to work side by side with homeowners to create backyard dreams while making the process fun for everyone.

A Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis in Sales helped to prepare Mike for his position managing sales projects of all sizes and components for Canyon Oak Pools. Prior to this tenure as a pool designer he built a twenty year sales career in the hotel industry. Mike proudly guarantees homeowners a high level of communication and works hand in hand with the construction department to oversee all phases of development. He is passionate about creating a backyard oasis for customers to cultivate a lifetime of memories with their families.

Scott is more than just a design consultant, he is a man of integrity and kindness. He loves interacting with homeowners and creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces for his clients. Scott prides himself on delivering on his promises, which is why his role at Canyon Oak Pools is a perfect fit. A handshake from Scott is as good as any contract because he values honesty and trust above all else. Scott is also a devoted family man who spent many wonderful years as a beloved and respected Canton High School football coach. When he is not working with homeowners to design their ideal backyard, Scott loves spending time exercising with his wife Timbra, talking to his son Lansdon, and visiting his daughter Kathryn in college. Scott has a warm and friendly personality that makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. He is a great asset to the Canyon Oak Pools team, and we are lucky to have him on board.

Audrey holds a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management and built a career in hotel sales and convention services. She later created multiple family programs in the healthcare industry, providing support and liaison services to clients and their family members. Her combined experience in those fields helps her to create concierge services and foster meaningful experiences for Canyon Oak Pools homeowners. She works alongside her husband Mike in the role of Customer Relations Manager. They spend their free time chasing after their two young children, Davey and Reagan.

Strong organizational skills, a multi-position background in the custom pool business, and an innate ability to build rapport with both clients and subcontractors alike have provided Kristen with the foundation required to develop, build, and manage the Internal Phase Department at Canyon Oak Pools. Kristen's work ethic and values, along with her compassion and empathy, are reflected in her communication style and proficiency at keeping all her team members well-informed as project updates occur. Kristen is a native Texan, born and raised in Big D. She and her husband Doug, along with daughter Avery and son Luca, have recently welcomed newborn baby Shiloh (and his full head of hair) into their family. Kristen's strong drive to set and accomplish departmental goals not only allowed her to win the regional championship in bowling several years ago but has helped her excel in all phases of construction management.

Alex graduated with her Bachelor of Science from TCU and is currently working on her MBA. She brings passion and expertise in the fields of digital marketing, photography, and graphic design, as well as her keen personal skills and warm personality. Alex also happens to be Larry and Susan's daughter, and is eagerly learning and absorbing all aspects of the family business — including stepping into the full-time role of Internal Phase Manager while Kristen is on maternity leave. 

Ryan Curtis brings nearly twenty years’ experience in the pool industry including sales, construction and maintenance which make him the perfect fit as the Equipment Services Manager for Canyon Oak Pools. He has vast experience with pool build operation, equipment knowledge and skilled maintenance. His eye for detail, impeccable work ethic and focus on client experience are just a few of the things that have made him so successful throughout his career. Ryan is passionate about educating homeowners on proper chemical balance, pool cleaning techniques and how to maintain the pool equipment effectively in his Pool School course. Ryan and his wife Kelly have three teenage children and enjoy traveling, throwing strikes in Ryan’s bowling league and going to sporting events.
